ok, so perhaps i don't get asked so many questions, but still, if people WERE to ask these questions, here's how i would reply.... if i deemed it necessary to reply, anyhow...
"How do you make your wallpapers?"
I use adobe photoshop 7.0. I used to use adobe photoshop 6.0, and I find the two of them are quite similar. it's just that photoshop 7.0 has more selection of brushes.
"Where did you learn how to use Adobe Photoshop?"
For the most part, I just played around for a long time with Adobe Photo-editing programs. I started with Adobe Photodeluxe, first for home and then for business. It was a long time before I even knew what "layers" were! Then I finally got Adobe Photoshop 6.0 and was wowed by the variety of things I could do. There were filters, layer properties, etc etc! It was great! I've read through a few books that explain some of the techniques, and checked books out of the library, etc. However, I was usually too lazy to actually read through all of the books, so most of what I do is self-taught. All of it, actually. There are tutorials online that can help you get acquainted with photoshop and some of its techniques. One that I used to frequent is Polykarbon, which is a great place if you want to learn some basics of anime-drawing, photoshop, or if you just want to get some feedback for your own work. It's a nice site to visit once in a while.
"Where do you get your ideas for your wallpapers?"
I hope I never have to answer this question, but really, does it need to be asked? People get their inspiration from many things. I see pictures I like online, or sometimes I'm bored and I just play around with Photoshop. You never know, really. Ideas come and go, but usually I just sit myself down in front of the computer and... have fun. Try new things.
"Will you make a wallpaper for me?"
Do I know you? Do I like you? I really don't like requests, since I usually work for myself. However, sometimes I will make things and dedicate them to my friends (ie, my "brother" ryan.. we're not really siblings, just good friends...) If I know you well, and you ask nicely, I don't mind trying to churn out a wallpaper. But if I decide to, it probably won't be that great, since inspiration will be forced. When I decide to make a wallpaper, it's for my own pleasure and it is because I saw a picture I really liked and wanted to play around with -- or if I wanted to have some hot guy to stare at on my computer screen..... -- but for the most part, no requests.
"Hey, this image is really large, do you have any smaller versions, say 800x600?"
Hahahaha, heeecckk no. My images are all 1280x1024, in case anyone was wondering. I like large resolutions, and if you're using that bad a resolution, then I say, get a better monitor or change the resolution. I really don't understand how you could find anything on the desktop with that! But really, if the image is not to your liking, then it's really too bad. I'm not going to waste my time resizing pictures. You can either ask your computer to stretch the image to fit, or you could resize it yourself. And if you're using a larger resolution than I have, sorry again, I'm not going to make my images larger. They're large enough as it is.
"Which one is your favorite background?"
Actually, I'm not sure if this would be a frequently asked question, but whatever. Usually, my favorite is the one I have set as my current background. That is usually the most recent one. But currently, my most favorite one that I've made is my weiss kreuz background. I really like the rich blue I used as a back drop, and their pictures superimposed on the back with the lines just seems... cool. Haha. But, like most people, my tastes change, and I will get tired of my wallpapers, and eventually each one will be replaced. I don't particularly like the one I made of ryan is a butt because it's just so stupid and pointless. But then again, I made it in five minutes while chatting with him both on the phone and online (we were planning a bowling get together). So there you go.
"What about...?"
Augh, enough questions!!! If you have any more questions, please email me at shippo_chan@yahoo.com. I will try to respond, but I really can't promise anything. I'm a busy woman, after all.
