PRE PROM!!!!

Yes, the preparations for prom were NOT simple. We had to figure out where to meet beforehand, where we were going to eat, where to get corsages and our hair done, where to get a limo, what our schedule was.... I was in charge of organizing/delegating all of these tasks. Fun fun!

So. What happened? THIS is what happened:::...

We decided to meet at my house before going off to prom. The girls would meet around 2:00 or 3:00 so that we could go off and get our hair done at Lisa K's mother's hairdresser. There would be just four girls going, since Lisa L would do all this on her own and then meet us with the guys at 6:00. Good plan? I think so. Lisa K was also going to get the boutineers (I really have no idea how to spell it, and I really don't care anymore... haha), since she had been the one getting them for us for homecoming and other dances. She's got the hair and flower connections, which means cheaper stuff for us! Yay for asian cheapness.... Hahaha. It's all good.

I have a few pictures of when we went to get our hair done, but because I really don't want to go through the whole process of scanning them onto my other computer, burning them onto a CD, and then transferring and editing them on THIS computer, you'll just have you use your imagination as we all sat and got our hair curled and styled. Besides, seeing the end result is so much more fun, ne? If you REALLY want a picture of our hairstyling, then email me, and if I'm in a good mood, perhaps I'll take the time and scan in the pictures.

Anyway, Debby and I found a nice French restaurant called "La Ferme" in Chevy Chase. We didn't want to get Italian food, since everyone goes to Italian restaurants. We were thinking Japanese food for a while, but the thought of possibly sitting at extremely small/short tables was not appealing. I had thought that we might perhaps go to this American restaurant near my house, Clyde's, but once I heard that our friends from another group might be there, we figured we'd just go to La Ferme.

So we met at my house. When I say "we," I mean all of my friends. PLUS. My friends' parents. Haha. They decided to all come along. Andrew's parents, Jenny's entire family, Debby's mother, Lisa's mother and sister, MY whole family (well, that's inevitable, now isn't it, since it IS my house?).... EVERYONE, basically. So my living room was extremely crowded with all these people with cameras, camcorders, etc. etc. trying to take pictures of their beloved son or daughter. I was like WHOA DERE.... Haha, but it was fun. Paparazzi, ya know. We took pictures inside, upstairs, outside... crazy. Finally, we were all ready, the limo was on time, and we were done taking pictures. So everyone took some last few pictures outside the limo, and we all stepped into the limo, and... off we went!

Dinner at La Ferme was great. "The Pea SOUP! PEA SOUP!" Yeah, we only wanted to eat the appetizers because we were cheap.... JUST KIDDING! I got filet mignon, which was quite nice. The entire setting was really nice and romantic-ish. The lights were dim, the waiters were all stiff and polite, and there was live music! Sugeei..... And then, of course, the entire group of girls took a bathroom break. Which meant half our table was missing. Oh well. We met another group from MBHS there, actually. That was pretty cool. We greeted one another (the girl was from my AP Psychology class.... joy oh joy, the memories of Mr. Applestein...), and went back. I think we must have been quite noisy or something, because when we got there, some tables gave us funny looks. But it was ok, because when we left, one table asked us "Leaving so soon?" and then they started a brief reminiscing about their own prom... Hahaha....

And then, OFF TO THE BETHESDA HYATT!!!
