Prom:: Bethesda Hyatt :: MBHS :: May 23, 2003 I didn't take any pictures during the actual prom dance itself because, stupid me, I left my camera on the limo. But no matter. I shall describe the night to you, anyway. I have ONE picture that I can post here, and that would be of me and Debby and Coach Franck. You can see it here. The picture was taken with Andrew's digital camera. We got to the hotel pretty early. There weren't many people there, and the dance floor was EMPTY. We saw Aleks and Christine and some people already there and sitting at a table, so we said hi, then looked at the food lying around ("We should've just come HERE for dinner!!") and finally we grabbed a table as well and put our stuff down. We took our pictures and got that over with. Then, as we sat and waited for people to arrive and start dancing, the ten of us sat around the table and played "ten fingers," or whatever that game's called. Basically, the game involves each person to declare something he or she has not done before. If someone HAS done it, then they put down a finger. Whoever puts down ten fingers first loses the game or whatever. So what ends up happening is that people begin to ask "scandalous" questions, such as "have you ever slept in the same bed with a member of the opposite sex who is not related to you?" and the like. Of course, innocent, stupid, naive, oblivious me ended up putting down about three or four fingers the entire game... but that's beside the point... Finally, more people came in, and there were finally people on the dance floor. It was a pretty small dance floor, to say the least. But we stopped our ten fingers game and all tramped out onto the floor to dance. And basically, that's where we were the entire night. I took two quick breaks for some water and to rest my aching feet. I had 3" heels. Ouch. But that's OK. It was pretty fun, and though Jenn and Lisa requested some songs (Justin Timberlake's Cry Me a River, I do believe), they didn't get what they wanted.
